These are the good kind of persimmon. Non-astringent (so none of that dry, furry mouth situation from the old days), just sweet, mild, and super easy to eat. Best enjoyed while they’re still firm and crunchy, almost like an apple, with a clean, honeyed flavour.
Grown in Gisborne or Hawke’s Bay (depending on the time of year), this box will have a mix of sizes, but they’re all proper delicious. Great for snacking, slicing into salads, or doing something a bit fancy if you’re feeling it.
