Tamarillo – the fruit that can’t quite decide if it’s here for breakfast or dinner. With that tart, tangy bite and deep red flesh, it’s like a tomato and a passionfruit had a baby. Scoop it straight out with a spoon and a sprinkle of sugar, toss it into a salsa, or bubble it down into a chutney that’ll wake up even the most boring bit of meat. They’re basically little antioxidant bombs disguised as funky tree fruit.
