
Daikon French Fries
- 500g Daikon radish, peeled & sliced into French fry shape50ml of oil for cooking
- 1½ teaspoons chilli paste
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- ½ teaspoon granulated sugar
- Salt
- Preheat the oven to 230°C, and line a baking tray with parchment.
- Make the seasoning. In a small bowl, combine the oil, chili paste, soy sauce, ginger, sugar & salt.
- Add the Daikon chips to your baking sheet and set aside.
- Drizzle your seasoning over the daikon and then use your hands to make sure they are all evenly coated and in a single layer.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast until they are golden brown on all sides (about 30 minutes) . Make sure you gently toss/flip them halfway through your cooking time!
- Remove from the baking tray, and if any oil remains you can place your chips on a layer of kitchen roll to absorb the excess.
